Author Guidelines
Requirements of Form and Style
Authors are requested to submit their manuscripts in Microsoft Word format to the Assistant Editor via the online registration link here. The manuscript should range from 3,000 to 15, 000 words (approximately 10 to 30 pages in length) and should include an abstract not exceeding 300 words. References must be indicated as serially numbered footnotes (not endnotes) and should comply with the Oxford Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) (4th ed., 2012). As much as possible, all manuscripts should be concise and written in plain English. Legalese, verbose language, and Latin expressions should be avoided unless they are terms of art, the use of which is necessary in the context.
The Editorial Committee assumes no responsibility for statements made or opinions expressed by authors who should ensure that all submitted manuscripts are the product of their own original work.
All manuscripts should be submitted with an email cover letter indicating the title of the paper as well as the following information about the author:
- Full name of the author;
- Institutional affiliation; and
- Current status (g. Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Professor, Student, Lawyer, Judge, etc.)
The cover letter should contain a statement of assurance by the author that the manuscript has not been previously submitted, accepted or published elsewhere.
Peer Review of Manuscripts
To ensure the integrity and reputation of the Journal, all manuscripts are subjected to a preliminary assessment by the Editorial Committee, and if found suitable for further consideration, to a double-blind peer review in which the identities of both the author and reviewer are kept anonymous throughout the review process.
After the review process, authors will be notified of the acceptance, rejection or the need for a revision of their manuscripts.
Privacy Statement
